Best of Show winner at Iola, Goodguys Magnum Axle Award and featured in American Rodder Magazine says an awful lot about this outstanding 32 Ford Hot Rod. Built on an original 32 uncut frame and fitted with a dropped and drilled I beam front axle. Power comes from a 1950 Mercury Flathead V8 with Offenhauser heads, ¾ race cam and 3 Stromberg carbs on an Offenhauser manifold backed by a 39 top loader transmission and the very much sought after Colombia overdrive (4:11 – 2:73) rear axle. 1940 Ford Juice brakes with finned Buick drums stops this masterpiece without worry on the Vintique steel wheels with US Royal Wide Whitewalls. The interior features a cut and smoothed 40 Ford dashboard with recessed Stewart Warner gauges and a Banjo steering wheel. The Gibbons body has absolutely gorgeous classic flame paint with the motif extending into the interior, even the headlights are flamed. The design and paint was so well done it was featured in the Dupont “Top Gun” calendar. A LeBaron Bonney removable soft top fitted to a 2 inch chopped windshield caps it all off…One of the Finest Anywhere!
