Auctioned on Saturday, October 27, 2012

Not Sold at a High Bid of $45,000

  • Engine Displacement: 348 ci
  • Transmission: Automatic

Powered by its original 348-cid Tri-Power with 3x2 barrel carburetors with the correct matching T0305GB engine stamping (Mar 5th, 348 Tri-Power, powerglide automatic) which also precedes perfectly with the 04D body production date code (April, 4th week). This stunning red convertible has been seldom used but carefully maintained since its restoration. The exceptionally straight body exhibits excellent panel fit. Chrome and other bright work are remarkable throughout. The beautiful interior was completely renewed to its original 1960 appearance during the restoration. The Chevy's 1960 Roman Red exterior and red/white houndstooth interior are authentic to the car, per the #923 color and #874 trim codes stamped on its Fisher Body data plate. The white convertible top and clear rear window are in excellent condition and the power top cycles just as it should. This wonderful example of one of the most desirable American convertibles from the "jet age" era is also nicely equipped with power steering, power brakes and power windows.
