From a highly regarded collection comes this 1939 Ford Deluxe and it is undoubtedly one of the finest in existence. It not only “appears” to be a spectacular example, it was judged to be one of the world’s best, having been awarded not only the AACA SENIOR NATIONAL FIRST PRIZE AWARD but also the AACA GRAND NATIONAL AWARD. It was restored using NOS Ford parts. The paint, body, fit and finish are impeccable. The interior, chrome, stainless trim and engine compartment appear concours ready. This is a car that has been stored in a climate controlled environment and is as nice underneath as it is on the top. Under the hood lies a show-quality detailed 24 stud Flathead V8 coupled to a 3 speed manual transmission. This wonderful example represents a milestone Ford - first year for hydraulic brakes and the last for a rumble seat. It is equipped with a dash clock, banjo steering wheel, woodgrain dash, tan leather seating, tan leather door panels and AM radio. It also has front and rear bumper guards, stainless exhaust tip, dual exterior mirrors and a Stayfast convertible top with boot. The stock steel wheels are finished in the same Jefferson Blue as the body and comes with the spare tire as well as trim rings and the rare Spyder hubcaps. Tires are “Ford-Scripted” 6X16 wide whitewall and are almost never seen on antique Ford motorcars today. The details make the difference and it is details like that which set this Deluxe apart from its contemporaries. You may bid confidently as this is one of the best investment quality vintage Fords to be found anywhere.
