Some of us are lucky enough to come across an automobile that just takes your breath away . . . this is that type of car. With only 7,745 actual miles from new, this is undoubtedly one of the lowest mile examples on the planet today! The owner has kept this Ferrari in showroom-new condition all these years by storing it in a climate controlled environment and obviously never driving it in inclement weather, in fact, hardly driving it at all! This car has travelled an average of only 267 miles per year since new! The mid-engine designed Mondials were built from mid-year 1985 to mid-year 1989 and were powered by the Ferrari Dino 3.2 litre V8 TIPO F105B engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection with 4 valves per cylinder producing 260 horsepower and a 5-speed gearbox. There were 810 Mondial Cabriolets produced in 1988 with only 449 imported for North American distribution. Another interesting fact about this car is that 1988 was the last year that retained affordable maintenance costs of the 308/348 drivetrain allowing major service such as timing belt and clutch replacement with the engine still in the car. It is also claimed that the Mondial Cabriolets are the only production vehicles manufactured to a four-seater mid-engined full convertible design. The owner of this example, with Rosso Corsa exterior over Cuoio (Saddle) interior, wanted the new owner to receive the car in pristine mechanical condition so the car was sent to the local Ferrari dealer for a full service including timing belt replacement. One of the World’s Finest!
