Orig. paint car with original interior. Packard's 1408 Model Seven passenger limo with divider wall/roll up divider window. 12 cylinders, engine rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago along with a recored radiator, rebuilt waterpump, new clutch, rebuilt gas tank. Dual side mounts and a luggage rack complete with the trunk and fitted luggage. This car was delivered to the Toronto Packard Company on 18/3/36 as per the vehicle data plate on the firewall. Since then the engine has been professionally rebuilt & some of the more easily accessible bright work has been re-chromed.
The vehicle was purchased new by the Walper Hotel in Kitchener ON. & used to provide chauffeured limo service, picking up & delivering guests of the hotel to the Kitchener train station. Owned by the hotel until 1961 it was finally retired along with the chauffeur who received the car as a retirement gift at that time.
The Walper Hotel is still in operation today & has undergone extensive historical restoration in recent years, upon completion the car attended the grand opening. Past notable guests of the hotel include: every Prime Minster from MacKenzie King to Pierre Elliot Trudeau as well as; Will Rodgers, Eleanor Roosevelt, Bob Hope, Liberace, Woody Herman, Nelson Eddy, Barbara Ann Scot, Art Carney, Guy Lombardo, Duke Ellington, Tony Bennett, Pierre Burton, David Copperfield, Gordon Sinclair, Bob Newhart, James Brown, Louis Armstrong. Many of these guests probably rode in the back of this vehicle. IF ONLY THESE SEATS COULD TALK.

Note the forward facing jump seats & the wooden spoked artillery wheels a $100.00 per option back in 1936. This car should considered quite rare as there were only 682 - 12 cylinder engines produced in 1936 & these were spread over 15 different applicable models.
