The first all new car from the Big Three after WWII, the 49 Ford is also often credited with saving the company. The affordable and stylish cars were also mechanically sound and sales were strong for the new model. This convertible is an excellent restoration that shows off what these cars were all about very well. The wide whitewall tires on steel rims with hubcaps and trim rings look good against the red paint. The trunk features a correct style spare and rubber mat. The engine bay is highly detailed and as clean as when the car was new. Excellent chrome and trim can be found throughout the car. The restored interior features an in dash clock, an am radio and control for the power operated top.
