Sold at $130,680

Being offered is a rare and fully restored example of a coach built 1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom I Sedanca de Ville (town car). This example was produced by the craftsmen from Park Royal, London “Hall Lewis”. During the mid to late 1920’s the Hall Lewis firm built motor car bodies, with the onset of the great depression and tough economic times of the day the company ceased to exist. In the early 1960’s this unique Phantom I was bought and imported from the United Kingdom, after a ship ride across the Atlantic Ocean, delivery was received at the Port of Philadelphia. The Roll-Royce has amazingly remained in the current owner’s family for half a century. During the first part of this decade this Phantom I Sedanca de Ville was the recipient of a complete frame off restoration which was completed in 2004. The cars entire driveline was meticulously gone through including its 7.6 liter inline six cylinder engine and 4-speed gearbox. The Phantom I is finished in Maroon Cabernet and its interior is tan upholstered. The car retains its original build sheet and additional information supplied by the Rolls-Royce Enthusiast Club.
