This interesting 1916 National Bus has been in a museum for the last 13 years, and it is still in running condition! The bus has no odometer or speedometer, and is being sold on Bill of Sale only. This may be the only restored 1916 National in Canada. Before being restored as a bus, the heavy truck was used as a water-well drilling rig. The current owner performed a complete 3-year frame-off restoration – wheels restored to original condition; original Waukesha RU4R engine rebuilt; solid oak dash; new running boards; rebuilt springs, new water shaft and oil filter; carbide lamps; coach made from oak with birch paneling, and designed to be removed from the truck to use it as a dray-bodied truck. The frame is made of ½” metal, and the original fluid clutch was left intact. Running at 800 RPM, the truck can reach a top speed of 12 miles per hour.
